So as someone who still watches network TV, love the first real week of shows being back. And since last year was a weird one its been nearly 2 years.. So quick recap, and since we are cord cutters we are a day behind. So last night I check out out all of Monday's Premieres. Only one new show..
Ordinary Joe -- basically someone said lets do a cop show and a medical show together.. Then someone was like thats kinda been done.. So they were like ok, lets add family drama and rock star angle AND have the same dude PLAY all three! A cop, a nurse, and a rock star.. I hope it's like the Young Rock, where after the pilot each episode focus more on one plot line, because if they are constantly jumping back and forth the whole time, just gonna be difficult to follow, cause the lead is the same but so are all the supporting characters as well and they all have slightly different roles and stories..
Other than 9-1-1 came out of the gate blazing with any horrible disaster..
Some decent ones on tap today, as all the FBIs come back, which have replaced Law and Orders in Dick Wolf's stable of shows for the most part. Hoping some new comedies come in shortly.
But as someone reminded me on a podcast.. comedy is ALOT harder to make really good.. As a kinda mediocre drama can still be serviceable and interesting.. but a mediocre or bad comedy is REALLY bad and just bombs.
Have a great hump day.
