Episode 6 of Lovecraft Country & Halloween, the OG.

Lovecraft was great, I am throughly loving just about every episode of this show.

The original Halloween is still so f-ing good. Well let me rephrase. Is it really scary? No, not really. Do the kills look at all realistic? No. But the score? Still epic and iconic. The long single takes are fantastic, it had been a while since I'd seen the movie and forgot how many of them their are, and to be able to accomplish that back then, is just fantastic. It really takes a master of his craft to be able to plan and execute shots like that, which is why you just don't see them that often.

Anything else.. How many parents leave their kids on Halloween? Were there a bunch of adults only Halloween parties going on back in the 70s?
