Tis the Holiday season! I guess, it seems like this year has been going forever.. But we are here, Netflix has already dropped two or three holiday movies and even a whole rom com TV series.. (Lily and Dash.. and I can't wait to watch it.. ) so that means it is the season.. Joy to the world..

Finished The Queen's Gambit last night and very rarely do I heap praise on a show, but this is one. It was great,  it does something thing that is rare in our current TV, it presents troubled characters who have demons and issues.. etc.. but walks the very fine line of also making them for the most part likeable... which  rarely happens, and even through the show explores darker themes and moments, it  manages to feel uplifting..

Total kinda spoiler hot take - It's a reimagined Rocky IV with chess and a female prodigy instead of Stallone.

Either way.. watch it.. you will not be disappointed.
