I had to stop Thoughtful Tuesday mid thoughtful-ness to talk about something.. I have a poster from Rocky 4 sitting beside my desk, and I like most people my age absolutely adore this movie. It's ridiculous and over the top and awesome. Third favorite Rocky movie only behind Creed. (It's soo good it takes the top two spots.. ) But as I was looking at the poster, I noticed it mentions Brigette Nielsen's Character name. Any guess is to what it is?
How about if it is even said in the movie? I honestly do not think it is. It's a role that launched her into stardom and provide her the later in life fame that she translated into soo many bad VH1 realty TV shows. But seriously could you name her character's name?
Ludmilla
So I clearly did some half a-- internet research (thanks Rewatchables) into the name. It is some what common in Eastern European Cultures and comes from Slavic origins. It means "people" - "dear, love" - Is it possible Stallone was making some sort of symbolism with her name, or did he just like the way it looked when the typed it in the script. Or in the eighties did all screen writers just have a list of names for Russian baddies? Who knows.
Any way - AupiAtleti today! Travel to Levante with a chance at sole possession of third place and the first three game winning streak of 2020.. HUGE GAME.. .
