With success comes the backlash, and no I am not talking about the run away viewership of this daily board, a solid 13 strong in some KEY demos. No I am speaking of the ever positive Ted Lasso. Apparently the second season has not been as well received. Which means a bunch of critics, internet trolls, and other professional writer types have taken aim at the NOW massive popular TV Show.
I am sure part of the criticism is rooted just in people's natural affinity towards being different. Some people are just wired to dislike things that everyone else says is awesome. And the most seems to come from the second season's lack of conflict and struggles. Issues arise and are then conveniently wrapped up by the end of the show. Others point to the lack of villains and how they un-did Rebecca's growth in the first season by showing she was always a good person all along by helping the kids. Etc I could go on and on..
That particular one (about Rebecca) kinda of stuck out to me, because in the point they mentioned how the show started like a Major League rip off and Rebecca was a bad person, ie a villain. And while I agree with the fact she was a villain, I don't think her motives were truly evil. She was a embarassed and broken as a woman and wife by a really proper ____ hat wanker. He publically and heartless embarrassed her and worse yet he didn't even care he was doing it. This was her inciting action to become the person we see at the beginning of the show.
I feel the show is about a lot of things, but mostly to me it's about recovery and how individuals build back their lives to become better. Wither it's through corny dad jokes, biscuits, or curiousity. And those things to me have not changed and it's still an incredibly entertaining show.
