FINALLY! Some offense! Atletico put 5 past Ousana in what will hopefully be a step in the right direction. I guess I should explain my support for Atletico Madrid. About 8 or 9 years ago, I realized I didn't really support a team. I just followed players more, so I never had my squad through thick and thin. Good years and bad years. I was probably the worst kind of fan a bandwagon-er. But I wasn't just jumping from team to team, I usually had a reason. For example, in my earliest of years it would have been their uniforms, then it gravitated towards players and their style. Iverson, the original Ronaldo, then Henry.. Finally Lebron..

But I never noticed this pattern till it came to my home town Panthers, a team I should have a deep affection for, seeing as they were founded in my life time and I have tons of memories associated with them. But I never really liked them (maybe it was the unis.. ) until Cam.. But that is a story for another time and website.

So back to Atleti, I was determined to pick a team, and I loved the colors, there passion as a workman's club, and their style of play. So I decided they would be La Liga team.. From their I convinced my wife to let us go to a game at the Vicente Calderon, and after that I was hooked. They are my team. "Porque Luchan como Hermanos" is their motto, Because they fight like brothers, the entire team will battle and fight, more so than any other.
