2020 is finally.... over... or is it? Leave it to the year from hell to have some trick up its sleeve where it just extends today indefinitely. Like can we check New Zealand and make sure they made it!

So this has been a weird one.. and if there was ever a movie that kinda inadvertently captured what it was to live through this year.. it might be Soul. Bare with me here, because a happy upbeat musical comedy about jazz and the after life, is not at all how most people would describe 2020. But at its core, it is a movie that wants you to question your world and ponder your existence. More importantly what makes you, you and what it is to be alive. This year has taken so much from so many, and  we all have had to take a much deeper look at our lives and what's important to us. But a by product of that introspective (totally not sure that's the right word) has been a realization that a lot of the things we think define us, have been either removed or taken away. So we have had to make tough choices and essentially asnwer the question the movie is daring us to ask.

Or maybe it's just a beautiful movie about jazz.

On the other hand, there is Wonder Woman 1984, which wants to challenge you but never fulfills the requirement. It's fun and entertaining but missing the standout moment from the first film or just a general cohesion. I will certainly watch it again in the background, and to pass the time but it was just meh. Also can some one name a movie were they got the superhero running faster than humanly possible right? Like the action scene were Gal is running in Egypt just looks so bad at times. But maybe I am being overly harsh. But there is DEFINITELY an A plus for Diana's wardrobe.. Spectacular.

Alright on to 2021, may it be relief we need from 2020...
