Up early today before heading into work, figure I would put something out there.
Finished Ready Player Two last night, and I will say any book that I finish, I usually enjoy because I FINISHED reading it. But this one was a bit of a struggle. The world and the characters are still fantastic and there is something about the idea of being about to go to the OASIS that just draws me in. However, and I say this as a writer (that's a joke from a podcast, cause I am not a writer.. ) there is something missing from the actual construction of the action scenes. The idea is usually pretty sweet and epic, fight 7 versions of a certain pop star from different points in his career, is an EPIC idea, but then you to the point and I find myself skimming because it's just not engrossing. That being said I know I could never do anything better and action scenes in literature are just really difficult in general.
But on to a non-fiction selection as I try and read two books a month.. Failing miserably so far.
Haven't told the wife yet, but feeling it's time for another Movie a day Marathon!!! But feeling something small, 7 days in the PotterVerse.. Sunday to Sunday - all 8 movies, with a Sunday Finale of the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2. What do you think? Maybe OX man would watch what 10 minutes of the beginning of each of them before he starts complaining about them NOT being Paw Paw..
Alright if I don't see you guys before the weekend!! Enjoy!
