Alright now it's really the wife's birthday, however we have been celebrating all weekend. And I think she actually had a good time!
Dinner at .Counter was fantastic, I highly recommend it to anyone who loves food and most importantly getting out of your culinary comfort zones. I could rave about everything but the Tartare version of Szechuan beef and broccoli made with wagyu ribeye was out of this world. Simple plating and full of incredible flavors. The house made hot pot oil was rich and decadent, like every item in the meal was curated and perfectly prepared. It's the benefit of knowing exactly how many people you are going to server a night, so all the ingredients were top shelf.
Did get in some movies as well.. Woman in the Window was a poor Hitchcock rip-off that started strong, but then plodded along to a pretty predictable conclusion.
Those who wish me dead.... was a 90s action movie except they kept the bad guys applying to 90s bad guys.. shoot first, second and third.. but then the heroes, didn't possess the un-naturally human strength like Bruce seemed to have.. It was also 80 minutes of build up to 15 minute show down, which lacked oomphf.. Oh well still a great relaxing Sunday movie..
Also realized that I have not really followed closely to TV shows, as they are getting close to the Season finales.. but it was a weird season, so I will just catch up next season.. in September.
Enjoy your week!!!
