Well, I thought there might be a chance it would be saved.. But it didn't happen and now we are here. Wish they would have given me a notice or maybe just a bit more time. But Mr. Ks is closing today. I am crushed.
Gonna battle the lines today to get one last Big K with cheese and I have no shame is saying that I got misty eyed this morning when I heard and now as I write this. 54 years in one spot, in one city is a remarkable achievement. So many questions I wished I'd asked. Like where did they get there meat from, how did they get their patties so wide and flat. But I didn't..
On a happier note, HUGE weekend for new movies. It's kinda like a normal release in season. Now, they are not all coming out at theaters, but oh well, another sign of the changing times.
On Disney Plus - Raya and the Last Dragon, a for all accounts massive Disney Animated feature in the feels similar to Moana, in a looking at a "Princess" from another culture going on an adventure.
Amazon Prime - COMING 2 AMERICA, the sequel I am sure will be mostly a remake, but I don't care I need Eddie and McDowells in my life.
Netflix - Not a big release, but Moxie, another teen comedy with Amy Poehler so it looks solid.
Hulu - Boss Level - Frank Grillo in a time loop action movie inspired for the "boss" level of a video game.. certainly some potential..
VOD or maybe IN Theaters - Chaos Walking - based on a massive YA novel, from the director of Edge of Tomorrow, starting Spiderman and Rey from Star Wars, normally this would be a massive movie, but it seems that has been re-shot, delayed, re-worked that no one is really sure if it's any good or if they even care anymore.
Plus there is normal slate of shows, so enjoy your weekend. I will enjoy my wait for my burger..
