Does it Hold up?

Yea, a slice of life in the early 2000s Philly

Overall Rating:

Really Actual Pretty good, but what did I expect.

Weird Comedy or Something New:

Taping the Eagles games was weird..

There was no reason for the parlay, he was going to take action on just the Cowboys game, so the parlay didn't add any additional value to bet for DeNiro, and just made it harder to win. Or did I miss something..

Random Thoughts:

The Desean Jackson love is weird at this particular moment.. Plus it's weird to see him as a rookie..

Dude taped all the games..

So DeNiro really only plays some form of a Gangster? A book maker here. But was the other guy a rival book or the bank behind his operation.

Is there an alternative or delete scene were we get to see Cooper in a fat suit beating the crap out of the Head of the English Department.

I'll say... Shower sex is tough and usually a mess especially in what looks like tub based shower. I am just saying..

My First Time:

I don't think was actually my first time, as scenes and the general feel of the movie seemed really familiar. With that being said, having a quality director makes all the difference. And in this film's case having a stacked cast. Because the basic premise is nothing out of this world, but it's all of those factors I mentioned that elevate the movie to an Oscar winner.

O'Russell build tension and paces the movie just wonderfully, so that it doesn't feel like a chore watching it and while you get annoyed at times with Cooper's antics, it is not to the point of out right dislike for the character.
