During Dinner.
On HBO Go..
Stuffed Peppers
Not the movie for unintentional comedy for sure, but thought I would mentioned that Jenn thought it was strange that they Jordan had Space Jams too! We recently got Ox a pair of the Lebron Space Jams..
First thoughts! They named their kid SEVEN! Several Seinfeld jokes, which I felt pretty bad about once you learn the meaning of the name, later in the film.
Just realizing once again how incredibly privilege I am, knowing that I will never have to have a talk with Oxley, like how the movie opens.
Though the Prom scene was a great way to break the tense and bring some lighter moments into the movie.
A really well made movie that did a difficult job of telling a story from two unique points of view and then placing one person in the middle and how they have to navigate something like this. It could have been probably a ten minutes shorter, but not sure where I would have cut anything.
Also I wanted to try and step out side and look at this movie in a vacuum. Am I swayed by what is going on in the world, does that make the actual film better or worse. Like the episode of Black AF for Burris just hates this new black director's film but is afraid to criticize it. I didn't want to just praise the movie because of white guilt or anything else. And I can honestly say that I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was really well done.
So the name of the category is a movie that makes you cry, while I couldn't think of anything really that always makes me cry, besides Toy Story 3 and I am using that later. I mean the youtube clip of the incinerator scene will get me ugly crying for sure.
Anyway, I ended up here because The Hate U Give was on some listicle of movies most likely to make you cry. It most definitely was from Cosmo or Scarlet... or one of those sites..
So did it? Yes! Several times. I know tend to get emotional often, but the tears were flowing. However my favorite I think was when Starr finds Khalil's wand... Cause you knew he never threw it away...
