Does it Hold up?

It's naturally offensive and that hasn't changed.. comedy is more difficult these days and there are some cringe-worth jokes..

Overall Rating:

Yes, this is one of my Top 5 comedies

Weird Comedy or Something New:

I totally forgot about Ryan Reynolds line-less cameo as Patrick Warburton's lover.. its great..

Random Thoughts:

Decided to go with the Unrated version, not entirely sure what's the difference but if it means more jokes.. I am in..

Whose living in Boston for 38k a year???

At first I thought it was Family Guy influences, but then after watching some of these older movies more recently, it's more of McFarland's love of classic cinema that comes through. The entire score is very 60's 70's vibe to it.

The HR department needs to be fired at Kunis office...

Going back to the score for a second, I also noticed a few notes of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and it made me think, maybe there are some other things like that through the movie.

My First Time:

Stupid comedy vs stupid clever comedy..

I was trying to figured out what kind of comedy I liked and over the past few days I think I kinda figured it out. I tend to enjoy more clever witty comedy as opposed to stupid comedy. Now you could say Ted is pretty stupid, it's a vugular talking bear, who just insults people and says dirty things. Yes, but he's not stupid. The character is not a moron, like for example most Will Ferrill characters of the past 5 years.. That god awful singing one that is on Netflix now and especially Holmes and Watson. It's just not funny to me when your lead character is a clueless idiot.. and his humor is generated by doing or saying really stupid things.
