Does it Hold up?
Yes - but all the spoofs do it no favors..
Overall Rating:
I realized I like horror movies..
Weird Comedy or Something New:
The color palette is nearly always a wash in blues and watery tones, as well as the flash inserts of the images from the tape are cool and never really noticed them as much. Great to set a movie like this in the Pacific Northwest and embrace the rainy weather as a kinda of a narrative device..
Random Thoughts:
I mean it holds up as a piece of from a time period. After all the movie is based on a video tape that most kids today have never seen.
That was a reoccuring theme, seeing how she did research and dig into the information without the aid of modern tech, is actually really fun. But does make the movie dated.
The search engine looked terrible.. and I am pretty sure the URL was desktop...
Feel like a need a new category as to since I am a father now, does the movie viewing change for me.. and it really doesn't until the end and thinking about leaving my kid at the bottom of a well for 7 days, is just terrible.
