Overall Rating:

Yippie Kay Yay.. Mutha F-er -- Still one of my all timers

Weird Comedy or Something New:

Never notices Simon Gruber's tie with an apple on a string.. some symbolism there..

The Donald line is great. Like, I completely forgot about that..

Random Thoughts:

Summer in the City opening is still nearly perfect.. man I love that song.

Every bit of dialogue has a purpose and seems to foreshadow the rest of the movie, well maybe not the murders in Red Hook, but most everything else.

Alot of racial themes and tension through out, but not overpowering.

And I'm gonna marry Donald Trump!! It's a great throw away line.. Also theirs a mention of Hillary Clinton being the 43rd President!

Is there really a Chester A. Arthur Elementary school? I alway thought NYC public schools were just like PS143 or something like that.

They both should have been dead about 7 times, really leaned into the near super hero levels of survival. I mean he lost at least half his blood on his different shirts.

My First Time:

The Riddles!!!!

So there are a few good ones.. But there is one that has always stuck with me..

You have a 3 gallon and a 5 gallon jug and you need to fill one with exactly 4 gallons. So in the days before the internet, when I am sure am you can google the solve, I spent sooo much time trying to solve this one, because in the movie they jump ahead when they already have 2 gallons in the 3 gallon jug.

die hard 3 water puzzle
So How do you do it?

Their's actually 2 ways, but I will go with the one in the movie and the one that I came up with after quite a while of thinking about it..

Fill the 5-gallon jug. Use it to fill the 3-gallon jug, leaving 2 gallons in the 5-gallon jug. Empty the 3-gallon jug, and then pour in the 2 remaining gallons from the other jug. Fill the now empty 5-gallon jug and pour 1 gallon into the 3-gallon jug. There are 4 gallons left in the 5-gallon jug.
