Does it Hold up?

The effects are great although the police being judge jury and executioner in our current climate feels wrong.

Overall Rating:

Solid, better and more violent than I remember

Weird Comedy or Something New:

Not a lot of comedy.. but I didn't remember the mind rape scene with Wood and Anderson, that was great.

Random Thoughts:

Intro is cool, I like the set up of the world and look and feel of Mega City 1, it feels massive.

Slow-Mo... that sounds cool.. I mean I would never do that........ but like seriously what would that be like?

WHOA Dominic Gleeson, in this as well.. sneaky loaded cast, all of the main characters are pretty well know plus Avon Barksdale..

Like I mentioned in the does it hold up. In today's current climate, it just felt wrong for a cop to be murdering all those gang members.. I know they were trying to kill him and some of them deserved it, but some didn't who knows. Just felt wrong.

My First Time:

The Logistics of Mega Block..

Jenn and I had to pause the movie several times to discuss just how that mega block Peach Trees would work. I mean it's crazy..

200 floors.

75,000 people

Where numbers they put out there, and then if you think about it, we also saw shopping areas, schooling, and a medical center.

So if you were to say that every person go like 200 square feet to live in as an average. That would required 15 mil square feet.

The entire middle of the building is open, and it suppose to be a kilometer tall or more. So I just don't see where all of the people go?

Then there is the fact that if it is in fact that big, how do they get around? Just by elevators? That wouldn't make sense, I mean the floors would have to be a over a mile or two wide at least.

So they also never touched on the food supply? I am assuming they must generate it from something, because there is no farmland or anything left, so how do they generate food for 800 million people inside on Mega city?

Ok I am diving WAYYY too deep into this.. maybe these are covered in the comics.. I will check those out..
