Pluto TV - Free
During Dinner
Buffalo Chicken Salad
* - Pluto TV has commercials so there were some phone checks DURING the commercials but not during the movie.
The movie theater's name is Pandora.. that has to be a not so subtle reference to the ticket being able to open Pandora's box.
Never ever thought about this, but could someone actually get into the Tar pits aren't they really hot? Or is that just in Volcano?
I am pretty sure that Pluto don't censor or cut anything and I didn't notice anything missing.
I love how much of effort they make show NYC as a dirty rainy mess, while LA and Slater's world is complete sunny and beautiful. Going off that point, I also noticed that when they go to Slater's realistic apartment, it's grimy next to the highway and also I believe it's raining as well. There is a huge relationship with rain and the real world etc..
ACME Dynamite! There are tons of one offs that are either references to older cartoons or other Cop movies.
I gave up on all the logical holes, which I kinda know there are by design, but I guess I did have some questions about the same person being in the same space.. like technically how can Arnold and Slater interact, aren't they the same matter in a sense?? Yea , I know am going wayyyy too deep on this..
I think there is like an 3000 word essay in here that this movie is was just too far ahead of it's time. The meta references were wasted at the time and it just came across silly. I think there was also a lot going on behind the scenes, but there is a 2019 version of this movie that is R-rated and essentially a cop version of Deadpool. I am gonna keep noodling on this but I really want to dive into this further.
